I'm over at my daughter's today dog sitting her husky, Shasta, while she travels down to the town I live in to visit overnight with some friends. She's a big old softie and the first thing she wants to do in the morning before even going out is having a lot of cuddles.
She's looking rather sad and pitiful. This is the first time daughter has been away from her since she got her about six months ago. She can't stay at our house due to this fellow.
Shadow is our cat. He's about 16 and really grumpy. He and Shasta do not get along.
The rest of the week here saw me actually get a start on my Christmas cards! Yes, I pulled stuff out and started deciding what to actually make. I'm joining in with the swap at Love Made My Home so hopefully they will turn out well. I actually only make a few for close family and friends. Same with homemade gifts. I am making an album for my Mum of pictures from her birthday and (shhh!) a mini-album for daughter of pictures of Shasta.
Definitely lots of Autumn in the air when we went for a walk. I turned the heat on last week. I was hoping to last until November but didn't quite make it! However on Tuesday the weather was so beautiful I actually had the windows open again.
Lots of fungus around to see in the woods too. I looked both up and down to find it. It's another one of those weird things I find quite interesting. There are so many colours and types around. I find myself searching high and low for it when we are out and about on our walks.
Shasta really liked her new backpack. Huskies like to be kept busy and feel useful. Daughter's hoping it will help wear her out - it seemed to work a little!
I think that's Five! I hope it is. I'll be around to visit today and tomorrow when I'm back at home.
