A Thankful Thanksgiving

As I lay in my bed this morning with my warm blankets surrounding me.  I was filled with such a sense of gratitude.  All of my immediate family is under one roof.  Two sons asleep upstairs, my furry boy asleep next to me.  I hear the coffee maker going off in the kitchen, so my husband is up and about.  I have a beautiful home that is warm and safe.  I have family I love that are near and far.  We are well fed, clothed and for the most part get along just fine.  My parents are still living, although that is a difficult situation.  For the first time ever we are having some of my in-laws and my Father over for Thanksgiving, and my husband is doing all the cooking.

There are so many things we take for granted everyday.  Love, food, family, and shelter.   Clothing, money, the telephone that gives us the ability to communicate with loved ones at a moments notice, internet that allows us to blog with friends around the world.  So much we do everyday that we don't notice because it has become so entwined in our lives.  So today I am going to try to notice and give thanks.  Thanks for family, food and friends.  And that includes all of you my blogging friends, you lighten my life and add so much joy to my day.

You may or may not be celebrating Thanksgiving today, if you are I wish you a wonderful Holiday.  If you aren't I wish you a blessed day.  I hope we can all find little moments of our day to be thankful for.

By the way Mr. 20 year old made it home safe and sound, he has a severe bilateral sprain and four brusied metatarsal bones, no breaks.   His ankle is still swollen, but he is walking on it free of crutches, so I am thankful he is on the mend.  I thank you for all of your well wishes.

I wish you all a beautiful day.
