Well BGs on fifth avenue was the target of some serious jewel thieves last Friday night. At 3.30am on Friday morning, a group of thieves broke into the store and stole thousands of pounds worth of jewelry.
It was a smash and grab as one thief managed to smash open the door with a hammer while another kept watch. He then proceeded to smash as many counters and grab as much as he could. A third provided the get away car.
There have been a wave of these sorts of break ins around London as well with theft reports coming from major stores in recent months.
It is unclear yet which concessions have been affected and how much the thieves managed to get away with.
